Since 2005, YPW has helped children grow through full Spanish immersion, joyful discovery, and a whole-child approach. What began as a small program is now a vibrant community serving infants through elementary students—plus afterschool, camps, workshops, and tutoring.

How It All Began

Our mission to put children first began with a toy store.

In November 2005, husband-wife duo  opened a store in Westlake Hills. They dreamed of an emporium centered around workshops and educational toys that encouraged children to learn and interact with the world around them. Drawing from their backgrounds as bilingual Spanish speakers from the tech world, they offered the Austin community workshops ranging from computer programming, science labs, and Spanish language learning. Soon that vision evolved to center around Spanish-immersion workshops and classes. It led to YPW becoming the first and pre-eminent Spanish Immersion Preschool in the greater Austin, Texas area.
Now, community need has led us to elementary education, bringing our vision of educational excellence, curiosity, delight, and global learning to even more children.

With hundreds of students, an award-winning curriculum recognized nation-wide, and dedicated staff, YPW Spanish Immersion School continues its original legacy of sparking curiosity, delight, and brilliance in every child who walks through our doors.

Our Journey: 2005 → 2025

   2005 — YPW Opens Its Doors

Our first Spanish immersion classrooms opens in Westlake – Austin  with a promise: love for learning, every single day

 We introduce play-based, theme-driven learning across preschool and pre-kindergarten.

 YPW earns TRS accreditation, exceeding state licensing standards.

Homework help, Spanish immersion, and creative enrichment for ages 5–12.
Our second campus opens in Central Austin, expanding access to our immersion program.

STEAM, arts, and Spanish immersion camps launch—now 28+ varieties.

 YPW earns national accreditation for high-quality early childhood education.

Spanish Labs, Science & Tech Labs, Art Studios, and one-on-one tutoring roll out.

 Parent-focused workshops begin, strengthening family-school partnership.

A research-backed dual-language model extends into kindergarten to 5th grade elementary.
We celebrate two decades of joyful, Spanish Immersion learning!
