I was born and raised in Cuba. After living in Miami for more than seven years I decided to move to Austin. Now, I call Austin my home. I have a BS degree in Veterinary from Cuba University. After moving to Miami, I discovered my passion for teaching children. Ever since, I have attended various professional trainings in early childhood education. I also have an Early Childhood director credential from Miami. I have spent the last years in Miami as After School lead teacher. Although I enjoy all aspects of the classroom, Children’s Literature is my first love. I try to include books throughout as many of our learning activities as possible. I enjoy passing on the joy of reading to my students.

¡Hola! I would like to introduce myself as one of the Spanish teachers here in YPW. I was born and raised in Spain where I obtained my Social Work BA at Public University of Navarra. Not long after it I realized my passion for languages and I decided to go back to university, this time Barcelona’s university to get my diploma in teaching Spanish. Ever since I’ve been teaching Spanish and English around the world (Spain, Ireland, South Korea…) opening my life to multicultural experiences.
I love working with kids, since I have no children I always say I need at least one school in my life to fill my need for them, sometimes I even beg my girlfriends to go out with their husbands so I can babysit them! I believe learning should be a fun experience so I try to be as much creative as possible; I really want my students to enjoy in the classroom.
