Spanish Day Camp

Summers represent a big opportunity for us to immerse your camper in Spanish, at the same time they are engaged in various activities and having fun.

During the week all of our campers will rotate through the following stations as they are immersed in Spanish:

* Bellas Artes : Art of Latin America – Once a week –
Improve your young people Spanish while learning about Latin art and culture. This workshop focuses on developing participants’ oral expression and pronunciation skills. Let your child immerse in the Spanish language, culture and art by working on projects inspired by Latin American artists.

* Science & Technology – Once a week –
From robotics using LEGO MINDSTORMS to various Science experiments. Your young people will learn / practice Spanish

* Cooking (Food & Recipes) – Once a week –
Campers will learn about some of Latin America typical food as they prepare it, cook it and eat it!

* Yoga Classes – Once a week Yoga activities for your campers –

* Team and Active Games – Every day – Traditional Games
Young People from all over the world share the common love for playing games! We will learn some new ones and find we have some games in common with other cultures.

In addition to these activities, YPW Spanish Immersion School Staff plan many special indoor and outdoor events; including, parties, creative dramatics, indoor / outdoor games, picnics, movie day, music and movement.
